American college students develop environment-friendly hydrogen fuel cell motorcycle

It is reported that the U.S. clean-tech network of two Swarthmore College students recently developed a new generation of environmentally friendly hydrogen fuel cell (hydrogen fuel cell) motorcycles, to promote the further development of hydrogen energy economy to make a contribution.
Most students are able to complete the project or the completion of the task the teacher, but few students like the two Swarthmore College junior Alex - Bell (Alex Bell) and Andres - Par Cecco (Andres Pacheco) developed as a unique innovation in environmentally friendly hydrogen fuel cell motorcycle.

Development of hydrogen fuel cell motorcycle they aim is to prove the general application of fuel cell technology and to assess the characteristics of hydrogen economy in the world wide trend. Specifically, they tested hydrogen fuel cell technology, the effectiveness of internal combustion engine and battery power, step by step out of the development of environment-friendly motorcycles.
Bell and freshman Pacheco wanted to develop the electric car, with the failure of the experiment several times, finally gave up the plan. Last summer they began to develop hydrogen fuel cell motorcycle is committed. Funded by the Engineering and Hal Peng Jiating Swarthmore Design Foundation students. Bell and Pacheco estimated average efficiency of a motorcycle is 50%, except in the calculation of the average energy loss of propulsion, the motorcycle will be 46% overall efficiency.
